DESCRIPTION:The Nagasaki Kunchi is the grand autumn festival of Suwa Shrine, the guardian deity of Nagasaki, held annually over three days from October 7 to 9.It originated in 1634 (Kan’ei 11), when two courtesans dedicated a Noh dance called “Komai” to Suwa Shrine.
