Live “Nodame Cantabile” concert 2024
“Live Performance of Nodame Cantabile” is a concert series born from a collaboration between the Kasugai City Cultural Foundation and conductor Daisuke Mogi, former principal oboist of the NHK Symphony Orchestra. This concert features live performances of music from the popular manga “Nodame Cantabile,” which is centered around classical music.
During the concert, the orchestra performs pieces from the manga while famous scenes and music explanations from the source material are projected in real time on a screen behind the performers. The series premiered in January 2006 in Kasugai and has since expanded across Japan. With the addition of piano and chamber music versions, the concert has been held 134 times nationwide, drawing a total audience of 160,000 people. For over 17 years, it has enjoyed immense popularity as a classical music concert.
