Yuwaku Bonbori Festival 2025 (Main Festival)
The hot spring town of Yuwaku, which served as the model for the main setting in the 2011 anime “Hanasaku Iroha” (referred to as “Yunosagi Onsen” in the show), has become a famous pilgrimage spot for anime fans and subculture enthusiasts since the anime aired.
Initially, the local residents were unfamiliar with the event and found it curious to see fans reenacting scenes from the anime. However, as word spread online and the town was credited in the anime’s end credits, accommodation bookings surged during Golden Week in 2011.
