Chichibu Night Festival 2025
The Chichibu Night Festival is the annual grand festival of Chichibu Shrine, held every year from December 1st to 6th in Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture.
December 2nd marks the Yoi-miya (eve festival), while December 3rd is the main festival day.
Famous across Japan for its extravagant parade floats (Kasaboko and Yatai) decorated with lanterns and its winter fireworks display, the festival boasts a rich history dating back over 300 years to the Kanbun era.
Recognized as one of Japan’s most spectacular traditional festivals, the entire celebration has been designated an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of Japan.
