Sawara Grand Festival 2025 – Autumn Festival

The Sawara Grand Festival, held in the city center of Sawara in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture, consists of the Honjuku Gion Festival in July and the Shinjuku Autumn Festival in October.
It is considered one of the three great festivals of the Kanto region, along with the Kawagoe Hikawa Festival and the Hitachinokuni Sosha-gu Grand Festival (Ishioka Festival).
In December 2016, it was inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
