Yanai Goldfish Lantern Festival 2025
This major summer event is held against the backdrop of the white-walled streets and features Yanai’s folk craft, the “Yanai Goldfish Lantern.” The festival’s highlight is the “Goldfish Nebuta,” which proudly and sometimes vigorously parades through the festival area. About 2,500 Yanai Goldfish Lanterns are lit and decorate the venue, casting a faint glow that creates a magical scene illuminating the white-walled townscape.
