Imari Tontenton Festival (Imari Kunchi) 2025
The Imari Tontenton Festival, also known as “Imari Kunchi,” is a traditional festival held in Imari City, Saga Prefecture, over three days on the weekend following the Shinden-sai on October 19 each year. It is famous for its intense clashes between portable shrines (mikoshi) and festival floats (danjiri) throughout the city. It is considered one of Japan’s Three Great Fighting Festivals.
