In 1994, picture book author Yuka Shimada released her very first book, Bam and Kero’s Sunday, which marks its 30th anniversary in 2024.
The heartwarming stories of gentle and caring Bam and the mischievous, food-loving Kero—who accept each other unconditionally—have continued to charm readers across generations.
This exhibition commemorates both the Bam and Kero series and Yuka Shimada’s 30-year career, showcasing all original artwork from Bam and Kero’s Sunday, along with selected pieces from the Bam and Kero and Galago series, plus new illustrations drawn especially for this anniversary—around 90 works in total.
