Sumire Fantasy Costume Shop 2025
Sumire, an analog manga artist known for her delicate depiction of light and wind on paper, presents an exhibition featuring 120 selected works themed around “costumes,” including newly created pieces. The exhibition venue is a three-story gallery converted from a Taisho era warehouse. Each floor is designed according to the world of Sumire’s works: the 1st floor represents “Costume Shop in the Desert City,” the 2nd floor “Imaginary Empire,” and the 3rd floor “Forest of Gods and Fairies.”
At the entrance, a “Sketch Challenge” is set up with clipboards holding paper and drawing tools, allowing visitors to enjoy sketching inspired by Sumire’s drawing style while appreciating the artworks.
The venue is close to the station and maintains a comfortable temperature even in summer, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing long visit and creative inspiration during the hot season.
