Yoshida no Himatsuri 　2026

Yoshida no Himatsuri is a festival held in the Kamiyoshida area of Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, and is known as one of Japan’s three most unusual festivals. It is the annual grand festival jointly conducted by Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine and its subsidiary shrine, Suwa Shrine. The festival takes place over two days, featuring the “Chinka-sai” (Fire-Quelling Festival) on August 26 and the “Susuki Matsuri” on August 27.
