Sandagi no Sakura2026
Along the 1.5-kilometer approach from the Ise Honkaido Road to Shinpukuin Temple, more than 400 ancient yamazakura (wild cherry trees) line the path, creating the impression of walking through a tunnel of cherry blossoms. The area is designated as a National Scenic Site of Japan and has been selected as one of the “Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots.”
The best viewing season comes about ten days later than Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms, and due to variations in elevation, visitors can enjoy cherry blossom viewing for an extended period—from the first blooms to the leafy cherry stage.
