Fushiki Hikiyama Matsuri（Kenka Yama） 2024
伏木曳山祭り（Fushiki Hikiyama Matsuri（Kenka Yama））will be held on May 17, 2024 (eve festival) and May 18, 2024 (main festival).
The Fukuno Hikiyama Matsuri is an annual festival held on the third Saturday of May in the Fukuno district of Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture. With a history dating back to the late Edo period, it is well-known as the spring grand festival of the Fukuno Shrine.
During the day, the festival features Hana-yama floats adorned with flowers, while in the evening, they transform into lantern-lit floats, parading through the town to the rhythm of wooden clappers. A highlight of the festival is the “kaccha,” where six floats from different neighborhoods collide with each other in a spectacular manner.
