Patchwork Road Best time 2024
The best time to visit the “Patchwork Road” in Biei, Hokkaido is from July to the end of October. The colors change with the seasons, and the period from May to the end of August, in particular, is recommended.
From May to early July, the fields showcase a gradient of green from wheat and potato crops. From mid-July to early August, the gradient transforms into shades of yellow and red.
In addition, Biei Town features the “Panoramic Flower Gardens Shikisai-no-Oka,” where the peak season is from mid-July to mid-September. The vibrant flower fields, adorned with Cleome, Celosia, Salvia, Petunia, sunflowers, and more, are said to resemble a rainbow.
