
60th Anniversary Exhibition of Yasuko Aoike’s Career: Contrail – The Glow of a Flight Path 2025
Shojo manga artist Yasuko Aoike (b. 1948) debuted in 1963 at the age of 15 with Sayonara Nanette. In 1976, she released Sons of Eve, a comedic work featuring rock singers and historical pretty boys that pioneered a new realm of shojo manga. The following year, she launched the Europe-set action comedy From Eroica with Love, which became a long-running hit and continues to enjoy enduring popularity among fans.
