Animation Orchestra Series Vol.3 Anime meets Classical: Princess Tutu × Legend of the Galactic Heroes Tokyo 2025

Music composed by Kaoru Wada, featuring classical masterpieces such as Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake” woven throughout “Princess Tutu.” Large-scale symphonies including Mahler’s works and Ravel’s “Boléro” accompany the space opera “Legend of the Galactic Heroes,” set in the galaxy, blending visuals with a full orchestra to vividly revive iconic scenes from both works.

The key visual for this performance is an original illustration by Ikuko Ito, the original creator and character designer of “Princess Tutu.” It depicts Reinhard and Kircheis from “Legend of the Galactic Heroes” playing music together with characters from “Princess Tutu,” a special piece exclusive to this event.
