Eiheiji Floating Lanterns and Fireworks festival 2024
The “Eiheiji Daitoro Nagashi” (Eiheiji Floating Lanterns and Fireworks festival) is an event held annually in late August. During the event, monks from Eiheiji Temple, local residents, and guests come together to release approximately 10,000 lanterns into the Kuzuryu River. Local residents express gratitude to their ancestors, and the occasion serves as an opportunity to pray for continued peace and happiness.
