Eiheiji Temple Autumn leaves When 2024
The autumn foliage at Eiheiji, the head temple of the Soto school of Zen Buddhism in Eiheiji-cho, Yoshida-gun, Fukui Prefecture, typically begins to display vibrant colors from late October, with Momiji (Japanese maple) and Keyaki (Japanese zelkova) starting to change hues. The peak viewing period usually occurs in early November.
The recommended time to enjoy the autumn foliage at Eiheiji is from early November to mid-November. Current color conditions are also available for viewing.
Eiheiji’s operating hours are year-round with no regular holidays, from 8:30 to 16:30. The admission fee is ¥500 for adults and ¥200 for children. Please note that night viewing is not available.
