Eihoji Best time Autumn Leaves 2024
The beautiful garden at Eiho-ji Temple on Mt. Koikei, designated as a national scenic spot, is most enchanting during the autumn foliage season.
The fiery red maple trees surrounding the pond, along with the 700-year-old giant ginkgo tree shining in golden hues, create a breathtaking view that makes you lose track of time.
In the fire of 2003, the large ginkgo tree suffered damage to half of its trunk, but it continues to display vibrant autumn colors without showing the scars, providing inspiration to many. While Eiho-ji Temple is usually wrapped in tranquility, autumn attracts numerous photography enthusiasts and tour visitors.
Selected as one of the “Hida and Mino Autumn Foliage Top 33,” the foliage is typically at its peak from mid to late November each year.
