Forest of Environmental Arts Autumn leaves When 2024
環境芸術の森, or the Forest of Environmental Art, is expected to reach its peak autumn foliage from mid to late November, as is typical each year. In 2023, the leaves are anticipated to start changing colors in early November, with the peak period forecasted to be from mid to late November.
Situated on the slope of Mt. Sakurei in Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture, the Forest of Environmental Art, also known as Momiji no Mori (Maple Forest), has been developed over approximately 40 years. This forest features over 10,000 vibrant maple trees. Leveraging private forests and minimizing artificial elements, the forest provides a serene space for visitors. With both short and long courses, it is well-suited for sightseeing and forest bathing, offering a beautiful and tranquil environment.
