Fujiko F. Fujio 90th Anniversary Original Art Exhibition

Celebrating the 90th birthday of Fujiko F. Fujio on December 1, 2023, the Kawasaki City Fujiko F. Fujio Museum will host the special exhibition “Fujiko F. Fujio 90th Anniversary Original Exhibition: The Manga World Born from ‘Love,'” starting from November 1, 2023.

In the words of Fujiko F. Fujio:

“Stories that captivated me in childhood, the impactful manga of Osamu Tezuka that inspired me, Disney’s animated films, handmade magic lanterns, Westerns and sci-fi movies, 8mm cameras, classical music and rakugo, model trains, UFOs and unidentified creatures, history and ruins, and dinosaurs… There is no end to what I ‘love.'”

This exhibition, titled “The Manga World Born from ‘Love,'” will showcase original drawings that vividly portray Fujio-sensei’s passions. We invite you to explore the various motifs depicted in the manga and hope you can feel Fujio-sensei’s deep love for these subjects.

We look forward to sharing this celebration of Fujiko F. Fujio’s 90th anniversary with you through his cherished creations.
