Geibikei Autumn leaves When 2024
The peak period for autumn leaves at Gei-kei (located in Iwate Prefecture, Ichinoseki City) is typically from late October to early November. This year, the optimal viewing time is expected to be from late October to mid-November.
Genbi-kei is a gorge surrounded by cliffs and precipices of approximately 100 meters made of limestone. Visitors can enjoy a boat ride through the gorge adorned with autumn foliage. The boat rides are available from 8:30 to 16:00, with fares being 1,800 yen for adults and 900 yen for children. Unfortunately, nighttime viewing is not possible.
Various types of foliage contribute to the autumn scenery, including Japanese maple, regular maple, Japanese lacquer tree, and rowan.
