Gintama On Theater 2D Ikkoku Kyojo Hen
It has been announced that “Gintama On Theater 2D: Ikoku Kinketsu Hen,” a theatrical release of popular episodes from the TV anime “Gintama,” originally created by Hideaki Sorachi, will be screened in June 2024.
“Ikoku Kinketsu Hen” comprises episodes 257 to 261 of the “Gintama” anime. These episodes are compiled in volumes 44 and 45 of the manga, covering lessons 386 to 399.
The story revolves around the search for an elderly courtesan named Suzuran Dayu, who resides in the red-light district of Yoshiwara. The narrative unfolds as the characters embark on a quest to locate a man who had promised to take Suzuran Dayu out of Yoshiwara but disappeared without a trace. Towards the climax, the storyline delves into the internal affairs of the Shogunate and the past involving the death of Gintoki Sakata’s mentor, Yoshida Shoyo.
