Goshogawara Tachineputa Festival 2025

The Goshogawara Tachineputa Festival, originating from the folk event “Nemuri Nagashi,” is a type of Neputa festival held in Goshogawara City, Aomori Prefecture. It was known for its giant Neputa floats from the Meiji to early Taisho periods but downsized due to power lines and two major fires. In 1996, the giant Neputa was revived and named “Tachineputa,” and from 1999, the festival name became “Goshogawara Tachineputa.”
