Haruna Shrine Autumn leaves When 2024
The peak season for autumn foliage at Haruna Shrine in Ikaho Onsen, Gunma Prefecture, is typically from late October to early November each year. Upon entering the shrine grounds, you can feel the serene atmosphere, making it a powerful spiritual spot.
The optimal time to enjoy the autumn colors around Mount Haruna and Lake Haruna is also usually from late October to early November. Various trees such as maple, Japanese maple, yamaboushi (Japanese spindle), and larch display vibrant red and yellow hues.
Haruna-yama is counted among the “Three Mountains of Joshu,” along with Akagi-yama and Myogi-yama, highlighting its cultural and natural significance in the region.
