Ibuki Autumn leaves when 2024
The peak period for autumn foliage on Mt. Ibuki (located in Maibara City, Shiga Prefecture) is typically from late October to early November each year. Due to temperature variations at different elevations, the autumn colors last for an extended period, gradually starting from the summit.
Around the elevation of 900 meters (mid-slope), the best time to view the autumn leaves is usually from late October to early November.
Mt. Ibuki is not only known for its vibrant autumn foliage but also for the blooming of alpine plants such as Ibuki Beetle, Autumn Lycoris, Ibuki Thistle, White Bride, and Gentian.
