Ikaho Onsen Autumn leaves When 2024

Known for its famous hot springs, Ikaho Onsen in Gunma Prefecture is surrounded by the rich nature of the Haruna mountain range. Every year, around October 20th, the maple trees in the vicinity of Kawakamibashi Bridge begin to change color simultaneously. By early November, the foliage reaches its peak, offering a splendid display of autumn colors. In 2023, illumination is planned from October 24th (Tuesday) to November 12th (Sunday), creating a powerful scene as if the foliage is burning bright red.

Highlights: From the ropeway leading to the summit of Uenoyama Park, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the distant mountains adorned with autumn hues. During the illumination, the trees near Kawakamibashi Bridge are softly lit, creating a mysterious and enchanting atmosphere that transforms the scenery into a fantastical landscape quite different from the daytime ambiance.
