Inuyama Castle autumn leaves when 2024
The peak season for autumn foliage at the National Treasure Inuyama Castle in Aichi Prefecture is typically from late November to early December each year. The castle’s front plaza and the path leading to the main keep are well-known spots for viewing autumn leaves, with the stone steps adorned in a captivating arch of fall colors. The view from the castle keep itself is also breathtaking.
The entrance fees are 550 yen for adults (including tax) and 110 yen for elementary and middle school students (including tax).
In Inuyama City, there is another notable autumn foliage spot known as Jakkoin, also called “Owari no Momiji-dera” (Maple Temple of Owari). Approximately 1,000 trees showcase brilliant autumn colors, with the peak viewing period usually occurring from mid-November to early December. In 2023, the “Momiji Matsuri” (Maple Festival) took place from November 5 (Sunday) to December 5 (Tuesday).
