Kawaguchiko autumn leaves when 2024 (Mount Fuji)

The peak season for autumn foliage around Lake Kawaguchi is typically from late October to late November each year. However, the exact timing may vary depending on weather conditions.

In Lake Kawaguchi, the “Fuji Kawaguchiko Autumn Leaves Festival” is held annually from early November to late November. During this period, approximately 400 to 500 maple trees along the shores of Lake Kawaguchi display vibrant autumn colors reflected on the lake’s surface. Additionally, there is illumination along the autumn foliage corridor, and food and beverage stalls are set up for visitors.

The 2023 Fuji Kawaguchiko Autumn Leaves Festival is scheduled to take place from October 28th to November 23rd. The festival runs from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM (with illumination until 10:00 PM after sunset). The venue is around the Nishikawa area along the shores of Lake Kawaguchi and tends to be busier on weekends and holidays. Mount Fuji view is amazing.
