Kazurabashi Bridge Autumn leaves When 2024
The illuminated bridge and autumn foliage create a fantastical scene. The secluded Kazurabashi Bridge in the hidden valley of Iya, rumored to have been constructed to be cut down by Heike refugees evading pursuers, is made of shirakuchikazura vines weighing approximately 6 tons. It spans 45 meters in length, has a width of 2 meters, and is suspended 14 meters above the water surface. It holds the designation of a nationally designated important tangible folk cultural asset.
Surrounded by vividly colored trees, the kazurabashi bridge connects through their midst, with a transparent river flowing beneath, providing a thrilling experience. The peak viewing period for autumn foliage is typically from early to mid-November.
Highlights: Every day from 19:00 to 21:30, the bridge is illuminated, enveloping the surrounding area in a mystical landscape.
