Uranohoshi Girls’ High School, attended by the school idol group “Aqours,” serves as the setting for the media mix project “Love Live! Sunshine!!” It is a private school located in Uchiura, Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and the subtitle for the 11th episode of the anime’s second season is based on this school.
The model for Uranohoshi Girls’ High School is Numazu Municipal Nagaisaki Junior High School. Nagaisaki Junior High School appears in the PV for Aqours’ 1st single, “Is Your Heart Shining Brightly?” showcasing similarities in the building, pool, and sports field with the anime.
Furthermore, a school idol web radio show titled “Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours Uranohoshi Girls’ High School RADIO!!!” is also being broadcast. In this program, Aqours members exert their full effort to widely convey the charms and latest information about “Love Live! Sunshine!!.”
