Maruoka Castle Autumn leaves When 2024
The peak time for autumn foliage at Maruoka Castle is in mid-November. When looking up at the keep from within Kasumigajo Park, you can enjoy a picturesque scene surrounded by beautiful autumn colors.
Maruoka Castle, constructed by Shibata Katsutoyo under the orders of Oda Nobunaga, is a castle built with a unique technique of stacking stones called “nozura-zumi.” The existing keep represents the oldest architectural style among surviving castle keeps. Recognized as one of “Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots,” Maruoka Castle is also renowned for its cherry blossoms in spring.
