The Color That Draws Me In

High schooler Totsuko has the unique ability to see people in colors—happy colors, joyful colors, tranquil colors, and colors she loves. She forms a band with a girl named Kimi, who emits a beautiful color and attends the same school, and Rui, a music-loving boy she met in a quaint old bookstore.

Kimi hasn’t been able to tell her family that she has stopped attending school. Rui, who is expected to become a doctor by his mother, secretly pursues his passion for music. Totsuko and her bandmates each carry their own hidden burdens. Their band practices in an ancient church on a remote island. Through their shared love of music, the three begin to forge a bond of friendship and a blossoming hint of romance.

As they navigate the challenges of trying to fit in, dealing with solitary pain, and hiding their true selves, they face the upcoming school festival and their very first live performance. The colors the three show the audience in their debut performance become a moment of revelation.

Summer 2024 brings a story of embracing the colors of the heart.
