Nishioiyama Station Sunflower When 2024
Near JR Nishioyama Station in Ibusuki City, Kagoshima Prefecture, there is a sunflower field. This station holds the distinction of being the southernmost JR station in Japan, and the contrast between Kaimondake (Kaimon Mountain) and the sunflower fields makes it a beautiful spot.
The best time to view sunflowers is from mid to late August. You can enjoy the sight of sunflowers against the backdrop of Kaimondake and the evening sky along the Ibusuki City Yamakawaoka Jigasui (Ibusuki City Mountain River Water) along the National Route 242 Kawashiri Urayama River Kawa Line, typically from late July to early August.
