Niyodo River Autumn leaves When 2024
The peak time for autumn foliage along the Niyodo River in Niyodogawa Town, Agawa District, Kochi Prefecture, is typically around mid-November. The trees surrounding the Niyodo River turn into vibrant shades of red, allowing visitors to enjoy the contrast between the Niyodo Blue and the orange hues of the autumn foliage.
In the Anago River, a tributary of the Niyodo River, the foliage is at its best from late October to mid-November. Additionally, in the Nakatsu Gorge Prefectural Nature Park, the peak season for autumn foliage is from mid to late November.
The Niyodo River basin features various valleys and spots where you can experience the “Niyodo Blue,” attracting many visitors. The optimal time to witness the “Niyodo Blue” is said to be from mid-August to mid-January.
