Osaka Expo Park Autumn leaves when 2024

The vivid collaboration of autumn leaves and the Tower of the Sun: The park was developed on the site of the Japan World Exposition (Osaka Expo) held in 1970. It features cultural facilities such as the Osaka Japanese Folk Crafts Museum, sports facilities like an American football stadium, and leisure facilities including barbecue areas. Various trees and flowers are planted around the Tower of the Sun, serving as the focal point. In autumn, the Natural and Cultural Gardens, combined with the Japanese Garden, showcase the vibrant colors of approximately 20 types of trees, totaling around 10,000 trees. From early November each year, Japanese maples and other species begin to change colors, creating a spectacular display of red, yellow, orange, and various hues throughout the park.

Points of Interest: From November 3rd (National Holiday) to December 3rd, 2023, the “Expo Commemoration Park Autumn Leaves Festival” will be held. On certain days, special events are planned, including the opening of the Japanese Garden tea house “Hannan・Banri-an,” tea ceremonies at the tea house “Hannan,” and traditional performing arts.
