Shonan Hiratsuka Tanabata Festival 2025
The outline for the 73rd Shonan Hiratsuka Tanabata Festival, one of Japan’s three major Tanabata festivals, has been decided. The festival’s hallmark, the gorgeous large-scale decorations, will number about 103, similar to last year, while the number of food stalls is expected to increase from less than 50 last year to about 100.
The festival will be held from July 4 to 6. Start time is 11:00 AM (10:00 AM on July 4), and the end time is 8:00 PM (7:00 PM on the last day). Tanabata decorations will be displayed at Shonan Star Mall and Beniy Pearl Road in front of JR Hiratsuka Station.
