The Twelve Kingdoms, the fantasy novel series by Fuyumi Ono that began with The Demonic Child in 1991,
has been brought to life for 35 years by illustrator Akihiro Yamada.
Now, the largest-ever exhibition of his original artwork is set to open!

A comprehensive display of cover and illustration artwork from the Shinchōsha “Complete Edition” and Kodansha “X Bunko White Heart Edition”

Numerous production materials from the The Twelve Kingdoms anime, including concept art, newly drawn illustrations, and rough sketches

First-time public viewing of materials from the upcoming musical The Twelve Kingdoms – Shadow of the Moon, Sea of Shadow, scheduled for December 2025

Rare manuscripts from Yamada’s other works (including illustrations and the manga BEAST of EAST) will also be exhibited
