The peak season for autumn foliage at Tanigawadake Ropeway is typically from late September to late October each year. This year, it is expected to be at its peak from early October to early November.
Tanigawadake Ropeway takes you up to the Tennin Ridge at an elevation of about 1,300 meters, offering a panoramic view of the Tanigawadake mountain, which stands at over 2,000 meters. The foliage includes various tree species such as maple, nanakamado, sabibanananakamado, minekaede, urajiro-youraku, sarasadoudan, and hawuchiwa kaede.
Tanigawadake is located in Minakami Town, Tone District, Gunma Prefecture, and is recognized as one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains.
