The 3rd rooster (Friday, November 29, 2024) ) 丁酉ていゆう(ひのととり)

We hope that this year, the COVID-19 pandemic will be brought under control, allowing us to hold the Asakusa Tori no Ichi and witness the smiles of everyone.

The Tori no Ichi is a festival held on the day of the Rooster in November (according to the Chinese zodiac) at Asakusa’s Rooster Temple (Shasenji Chokokuji) and various hawk shrines and Otori shrines nationwide. It is a representative annual event that has been continued since the Edo period, aiming to bring good luck, prosperity in business, and fortune.
