Yuki no Otani When and Best time 2024
The “Yuki no Otani” (Snow Wall) is an event held in the Tateyama Murodo area of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. This event takes place annually for a period of two months, typically from mid-April to mid-June.
In 2023, the “2023 Tateyama Kurobe Yuki no Otani Festival” was held from April 15th (Saturday) to June 25th (Sunday). The main attraction of the festival is the “Yuki no Otani Walk,” where visitors can walk between walls of snow, reaching heights of approximately 20 meters, created by snow removal.
For those who wish to experience the Yuki no Otani, the best season to visit is in April when the snow walls are at their peak, showcasing a beautiful and smooth wall surface.
