2024 33rd Ganryujima Festival
As part of the “Shimonoseki Kaikyo Matsuri” held on Ganryujima in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, the “Ganryujima Festival” will be revived and held on May 4th! The event will feature a super legend from the world of anime songs as the headliner, along with diverse activities such as dance battles, hip-hop performances, wrestling, and a recreation of the duel between Musashi and Kojiro.
The Ganryujima Festival, which has been held for approximately 40 years including its predecessor events, is now revived with two main pillars: the “Anime Song Family Picnic Concert” and “Attractions themed around duels.”
Under the open sky, attendees will have the opportunity to experience Japan’s oldest anime song concert featuring legends in the anime song world such as Hironobu Kageyama, Masaaki Endoh, and Shimonoseki native Hiroshi Kitadani. Additionally, there will be performances by local artists from Shimonoseki and thrilling pro wrestling matches fitting for the island of duels, Ganryujima. We aim to deliver an experience that cannot be found elsewhere!
