Aomori Nebuta Festival 2026

The Aomori Nebuta Festival (Aomori Nebuta Matsuri) is held in Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture, from August 2 to August 7 each year.
It attracts more than 2 million visitors annually.
In 1980, it was designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of Japan.
It is considered one of the three great festivals of the Tohoku region.
