Kamakura Fireworks fes 2024
鎌倉花火大会 (Kamakura Hanabi Taikai) is an annual fireworks festival held in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, typically in July. Approximately 4,000 fireworks are launched from the Enoshima coastline, illuminating the summer night sky. As the launch site faces the coast, spectators can enjoy beautiful aquatic fireworks with reflections on the water.
The Kamakura Hanabi Taikai began in 1949 and has traditionally taken place in July or August at Yuigahama and Zaimokuza beaches. In 2019, the event attracted 130,000 visitors who gathered to witness 2,500 fireworks launched over the sea. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival was canceled in 2020, 2021, and 2022. In 2023, it was decided to forego the event once again.
Known for attracting large crowds, the Kamakura Hanabi Taikai is a popular fireworks festival held on the sandy beaches of Zaimokuza and Yuigahama.
