Hakata Dontaku 2026

Hakata Dontaku is a festival held every year on May 3 and May 4 in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. Its official name is “Fukuoka Citizens’ Festival: Hakata Dontaku Port Festival.” With annual attendance exceeding two million people, it is the largest festival held during Japan’s Golden Week. Along with Hakata Gion Yamakasa and the Hakozaki-gu Hojoya Festival, it is widely recognized as one of the representative festivals of Hakata, Fukuoka.
