The Kishiwada Danjiri Festival is a traditional festival held in Kishiwada City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It is also known as the Kishiwada Festival or the Old City Festival. As one of the danjiri festivals celebrated throughout the Kansai region, the event features ceremonial shrine visits (miyairi) at Kishiki Shrine, Kishiwada Tenmangu Shrine, and Yasaka Shrine within the city. Renowned for its intensity, it is often referred to as “the most dangerous festival in Japan.”
