Isao Takahata ̶ The man who made Japan anime. 2025
The year 2025 marks the 90th anniversary of Isao Takahata’s birth, and 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the Pacific War, which had a major impact on Takahata’s life.
This exhibition is planned with the cooperation of Studio Ghibli, and based on the background of this decision, we are planning to focus on the “Grave of the Fireflies”. In addition to “Grave of the Fireflies,” the teaser visual for this exhibition is a double visual of “Heidi, the Girl of the Alps,” an early work by Takahata that still boasts high recognition.
