2024 Painter Yoshikazu Yasuhiko Exhibition

“This is a retrospective exhibition looking at the creative activities of Yoshiyuki Tomino, the character designer, animation director, and manga artist known for ‘Mobile Suit Gundam’.

Born as a third-generation settler in Enbetsu Town, Hokkaido, he participated in student movements during university and later moved to Tokyo to get involved in anime production, eventually transitioning to become a manga artist. The exhibition will reflect on his tumultuous life journey. Many never-before-seen materials will be on display for the first time in the world.”
