Akamatsu Shrine Dedication Fuitutsu Fireworks 2025
The traditional handmade “Fuitutsu Fireworks” from the Akamatsu area will be held. Each firework is carefully crafted by the Akamatsu Fuitutsu Fireworks Preservation Society, competing in the beauty of the sparks blown out from the bamboo tube. The fireworks are made by packing gunpowder into a bamboo tube about 1 meter long, with sparks blowing out from a hole at the top. Local youth run beneath the flying sparks, praying for a bountiful harvest and family safety for the coming year.
