Ashikaga Fire works festival 2024
The Ashikaga Fireworks Festival is a traditional event held every year on the first Saturday of August. It began in 1903 (Meiji 36) and celebrated its 120th anniversary this year. Boasting one of the largest scales in the Kanto region, the festival features the launch of approximately 20,000 fireworks.
The Ashikaga Fireworks Festival serves as the climax of the Ashikaga Summer Festival. Drawing around 500,000 spectators from all over the Kanto region each year, it has become a beloved event for many people.
