Kachimai Fire works 2024
The Meaning Behind “Flame Heart ~Igniting Hearts, Igniting Fire.”
The 70th edition of the event held last year took place amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, where various emotions collided, and the event faced numerous restrictions and a sense of confinement. Despite these circumstances, the event was held with the hope that, even in the midst of the pandemic, people could momentarily release their feelings and enjoy the summer. The theme chosen was “トキハナツ” (Tokihana), expressing the desire for people to “release” and enjoy the moment.
Now, as we enter this year, it symbolizes a restart. However, challenges such as the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, the instability caused by skyrocketing prices, and the ongoing concerns related to infectious diseases persist.
It is precisely in times like these that the Kachimai Fireworks Festival aims to be a presence that moves the lives, economy, and hearts of the people in Tokachi.
The “Flame Heart” expresses the desire of the Kachimai Fireworks Festival to ignite the hearts of all those who enjoy, bringing smiles and delivering inspiration. It aims to be the driving force (engine) that moves the hearts of the people and the everyday life of Tokachi. The entire team from the Tokachi Mainichi Shimbun Group and staff involved in the Kachimai Fireworks Festival will unite in a “formation” to prepare and operate the event for the sake of Tokachi and those eagerly anticipating the fireworks. We sincerely hope for your support and attendance!
